This application, MarketWise AI, integrates with third-party services like Meta (Facebook) to provide its core functionality, such as auditing your ad campaigns. To do this, we require you to authenticate with these services.

Authentication and Access Tokens

When you connect a service like Meta Ads, we use the OAuth 2.0 protocol. The authentication process happens on the respective platform's domain in a secure popup window.

Upon successful authentication, the service provides an access token to our application. This token is a secure credential that grants us temporary, limited permission to access specific data from your ad account on your behalf.

How We Use Your Data

The access token is sent directly from your browser to our secure backend server. It is used solely to make API requests to the third-party service (e.g., fetch campaign data from Meta). The data retrieved is then processed by our AI models to generate the audits and insights you see in the application.

Data Storage

We do not store your access tokens. The token is used for the duration of the API session and is then discarded. We do not store any of the personal or campaign data retrieved from your accounts. All data processing is done in-memory to provide the service.
